I had a horrible experience with CFares. This is a company that is involved in fraudulently making charges to your credit card under the guise of "membership". In 2008 I tried to book a flight through them, so I had to enter all my credit card information, plus a back-up e-mail address (it was gold membership with no fee). I tried to book the flight, but both my attempts failed, so I booked it through a letigitimate and reputable company such as Travelocity. In my next credit card statement I noticed two charges for each $50.00 booking fee. I contested them, and the charges were credited to my account. This year at the same billing cycle, the same charges reappeared on my credit card. I called CFares(the phone numbers they gave the credit card company are bogus, they are not in service)and the guy on the phone said these charges were for membership (he said since I gave them two e-mail addresses, they ocharged me twice!!!). Right after my phone call (bye the way, he hung up on me) and told them I would file complaints with the FBI and BBB (Better Business Bureau) they sent me an e-mail (it took them 5 minutes) telling me that they have now downgraded my membership to gold (I never signed up for platinum). By the way, you cannot delete or change your credit card info you put in the membership site. The only option they give you is upgrade, and they will do it unilaterally, without your consent so they can charge you. They will keep charging me unless I ask the credit company to change my account number. I am also going to deactivate my e-mail address now because of them. I complained to the BBB and the FBI about their fraudulent practices, and now they subscribed me to hundreds of magazines and newsletters. They are vindictive, and they are scam artists. Do not do business with them.

thank you for the num,ber i was able to use this number to solve an identical problem. I have only had good service from them in the past so i find this experience quite extrordinary and was getting quite panicky when i did not recieve a confirmation number or a rebate when they said the time ran out so i will see if this phone call produces results. thank you again as i was quite frustrated.bev

Same problem... sleazy ticket consolidator hiding behind website was my thought. Ticket wasn't issued until I emailed and called multiple times. On top of that, ticket that was "non-stop" ticket that turned out to have connection. Their version of customer service is to make every excuse under the sun and then blame me.

Hope everyone has better luck with them. If you want to contact them, try xxx-xxx-xxxx. This is the cell number of the "president" of the company.

Ditto here. I'm still waiting for a rebate on a trip I took last October.

I've emailed them repeatedly to no avail.
